Afternoon with an Artist

Join us on Saturday, February 29 from 1 pm to 3 pm for a light lunch and an educational painting demonstration by Ellen Sullivan Taylor. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for firsthand observation of an artist at their craft! 

During this educational demonstration, Ellen will use her extensive knowledge and experience with color to paint a still life arrangement. She will demonstrate how she begins the painting process using tonal colors to sketch out the composition. She'll walk you through how she discovers the light and dark areas of a painting and uses appropriate color hues to shade the light and dark areas. Her painting style is mostly from observation and partly from imagination. 

This event is proudly presented by the In Home Design Center and Paula Estey Gallery.
